Modeled in the spirit of the ABC Network’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” program, Built Upon a Dream featured the metro area’s foremost builders, contractors, architects, suppliers and others in association with the construction field.

This exciting program matched professionals with a private, non-profit organization in need.

A. Hoffman Awning Co volunteered their services in the spring of 2016 by designing, manufacturing and installing a patio awning for The Children’s Home.

Established in 1863, The Children’s Home (TCH) in Catonsville, Maryland, is a residential care facility that provides both long- and short-term services to youth 13 to 21 years of age who have experienced abuse, neglect, violence, abandonment, and/or are in need of supervised care. Located less than a mile from Baltimore City.
